True democracy can take place only when all people have access to all information. The Project on Scientific Knowledge and Public Policy and Center for Science in the Public Interest for years have advocated for freedom of information about scientific and environmental issues.

Now, a new Salon piece reveals that the Bush administration was changing message on the subject of climate change and is allowing only certain scientists to give interviews. While the administration denies involvement in managing media requests for interviews, e-mails obtained by Rep. Henry Waxman show the opposite. bush_propaganda_catapult.jpg
