McDiesel anyone?

McDonald's has announced today that it will reuse its supply of cooking oil to manufacture biodiesel fuel for its UK delivery trucks. Biodiesel will be created by combining rapeseed oil and cooking oil and will cut carbon emissions, saving about 1,675 tonnes of carbon per year.

Did McDonalds change its policy worldwide? Of course not. However, there is more pressure on companies in the U.K. and Europe to not just talk about environmental strategy but to actually prove that they're doing something to help the environment. In U.S. McDonalds was giving away little Hummers in Happy Meals less than one year ago.
