Historic Conference: The Future of U.S. Chemicals Policy

Organizations representing chemical manufacturers, environmental and public health advocates, environmental justice leaders and consumer product goods companies will host an historic conference to explore fundamental changes to U.S. chemical policy.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson will share the Obama administration’s principles for modernizing the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). In addition, scientists, business leaders, and policymakers will hold panel discussions on steps needed to modernize the U.S. chemical review and management system.

Participants: Scientists, business leaders and senior officials from the Environmental Working Group (EWG), the Pew Health Group, the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), Rachel’s Network, Community Against Pollution (Anniston, AL), the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA), and the Soap and Detergent Association (SDA).
