News from Ground Control: Planet Trump (Dec. 9)

President-elect Donald Trump’s posture and plans for the nation’s environmental and public health laws took their most ominous turn yet with the nomination of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to be the next administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Here are several of this week’s deep-dives into the looming policies we could see under Trump and Pruitt, should the latter be confirmed by the Senate.

It’s a safe assumption that Pruitt could be the most hostile E.P.A. administrator toward clean air and safe drinking water in history,” he added.
