EWG: Scott Pruitt Should Follow Aides’ Lead and Resign

WASHINGTON – Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt should join his aides Albert “Kell” Kelly and Pasquale “Nino” Perrotta, and resign immediately, said Environmental Working Group President Ken Cook.

“There has not been a cabinet member more corrupt and unfit than Scott Pruitt in the last 40 years,” Cook said. “Pruitt should heed the decisions of his two aides and submit his own resignation to President Trump immediately.”

Kelly, a disgraced former banker and close friend of Pruitt, and Perrotta, Pruitt’s head of security, both abruptly resigned today. Perrotta has said he will fully cooperate with the investigation by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who, as head of the House Government Oversight Committee, is looking into Pruitt’s misuse of taxpayer money.
