Nationally Recognized Leader in Clean Beauty Joins EWG Board

WASHINGTON – Barbara Paldus, a leading entrepreneur and innovator in the clean beauty sector, has joined the Environmental Working Group board of directors.

Barbara Paldus holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University. For more than two decades, she has led innovation in the fields of spectroscopy, telecommunications and biotechnology. By 34, Paldus had co-founded two Silicon Valley companies that helped pave the way for carbon-cycle measurements, food integrity testing, accessible vaccines, personalized medicine and cell therapy. Paldus has been awarded more than 30 U.S. patents and numerous scientific honors. EWG is thrilled to have added more scientific expertise to our board through Paldus’ membership.

Paldus is the founder of Codex Beauty, an internationally recognized collective of clean, organic skincare brands from around the world. Codex Beauty is a high-tech innovator, developing a global range of skincare. Paldus launched Codex Beauty in June 2019 with a number of EWG VERIFIED™ products.
